What was the great Chicago Fire

 

What Was the Great Chicago Fire, by Janet B. Pascal, a history book, tells about what happened when the fire started. I learned from this book that they had to use buckets of water to put out fires. Another fact was that everything in Chicago was made of wood so it was easy to check on fire. Also, they had to use houses to carry the equipment. The equipment was always getting better and all the freighter man will vontes. The fire was so bad that burned down the whole city. All the people in the city were homeless so people. The people stole pieces from the fire to tourists for money. 

I like this book cause I like history books. I learned a lot about this book like how it happened. I like how the book is short but it has so much information in it. Also, I like the pictures in the book even know they are black and white. I like how there is still a mystery in the book about how the fire started. I don’t get why they built everything out of wood. This is why I like this book.
