Skink

 

Skink, a chapter book by Carl Hiaasen, tells when the police can’t do anything about the kidnapping of Richard’s cousin. The main character is Richard whose dad died in a skateboard accident. Richard wants to find his cousin really badly. Hoverwver, he had no clue where to go.He solved the problem by finding a weird person on the beach florida. Then Richard figured out he was the ex-gormer of Florida that people thought he had died. Read this book to find out if Richard and ex-gormer will find Malley, Richard's cousin, and if they did what would happen.

My favorite character of the book is the ex-gormer, known as Skink. I like Skink so much because he got shot by the kidnapper and acts like nothing happened. Also he dived into a river to get canoe being pulled by a crocodile and the crocodile won the fight. He likes animals a lot, for example he jumped in the middle of the road to save a baby skunk. He also helps Richard to fix what he stole from a skateboard shop.
