    Who was George Washington, by Roberta Edwards, describes how a young boy grows up to be the most outstanding leader of all time. George Washington is famous for being the first president of the American colonies. However, he went through tough times to be what he is known for. For instance, all of his family members died before he even turned 20. He pushes through this by finding someone he likes and later marries her. Ultimately, George provides leadership to a new and young country, the United States.  

When I first read this book, I did not know that Washington did so many things to make our country. One thing he did, is that he didn’t want to be president of the United States. He wanted to live in a virgin at the house he grew up in. I wondered how much pressure it was to be the first president. You should READ THIS BOOK!
