The Man in the Red Banadana

The Man in the Red Banadana, a short picture book, explains the Heroic acts of one man on sept. 11, 2001. The main character is a man named Welles. He worked at the WTC. On sept. 11, 2001 a plane crashed into his building. Welles was a firefighter so he wanted to help people by gilding them out of the burning building. However, the stairwell had toxic smoke and many people were Injured. He covered his face with a red bandana and helped people find their way out of the fire. He climbed back up the stairs Multiple times and helped many people safely. Welles sacrificed his life in the end but is remembered as a hero.

I like this book because I like stories about people who do Unbelievable things. For example, I read Peak which was about a boy who summit Mr. Everest. This book was about a firefighter who saved a ton of people from a burning building. Another thing I liked was the picture they hung drawn and looked very good. The pictures Explained what it looked like in the building while I was burning and the people who needed help.
