Peak
Peak
Peak, a novel by Roland Smith tells how a 14-year-old boy reached the summit of Mt. Everest. Peak is the boy's name. He has climbed many skyscrapers. He got arrested for climbing a skyscraper when the president was in a meeting and he was not allowed to climb the skyscraper. After he got arrested, he went to court. Then he wasn't allowed to do anything in the US, so he went to China. Next, he went to the tallest mountain in the world. Peak wanted to be the youngest person ever to reach the summit of Mount Everest and that's what he did. The lesson Peak learned from climbing was don’t push it too far.
I like this book because I love climbing and he was very good at climbing. Another thing I like about this book is how well they described Peak in his troubles to get to the top of Mt. Everest.
Also I learned a lot of things about Mt. Everest in this book. One of the things I learned was Mt. Everest has five camps and one basecamp.
