     Roanoke The Lost Colony, an unsolved mystery from history, teaches about the vanished English colony. In 1585, a fort was built at Roanoke. Then in 1586, the colonists returned back to England, and they left the soldiers to hold the fort. Next in 1587, John White and the colonists set up a colony at Roanoke. In 1588, the Spanish looked for Roanoke, and they found no one. Then in 1590, John White finally returned, to see that no one was at Roanoke, so he returned to England. Finally, in 1607, John Smith heard mysterious rumors about Roanoke colonists. 

    I like this book because the picture looks super cool and it was painted by an artist. Also, an interesting fact I learned about this book was that the island off of North Carolina is still named Roanoke. I still woulder what happen to the lost colony. I think that they got lost at sea because when John White returned to Roanoke the ship was gone.
